Strong Demand For Space At FTMTA Farm Machinery Show

The Farm Tractor & Machinery Trade Association report an unprecedentedly high level of demand for exhibition space at next year's flagship event for the Irish agricultural machinery sector. The FTMTA Farm Machinery Show 2019 will take place at Punchestown Racecourse near Naas, Co. Kildare on February 7th, 8th and 9th. The Show was fully sold out by the closing date at the end of October but an additional amount of space was subsequently provided, most of which has now also been booked. At this stage, there is a very limited amount of exhibition space remaining and any firm interested in exhibiting should not delay in contacting the FTMTA on 045 409 309 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. The FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, run under the ethos that is it organised by the trade for the farmer and contractor, first took place in the RDS during February of 1989. In the intervening period the Show has been held on a biennial basis and has grown steadily to become Ireland's premier farm machinery event. The Show relocated to the Punchestown venue in 2003 and the site with its excellent facilities has been integral to the success of the Show.

The 2019 Show is set to be the biggest such event yet with the trend of increased indoor exhibition space in recent years continuing for the upcoming Show. As well as a significant level of interest from first time exhibitors the Show is also in a position in 2019 to facilitate a dramatic increase in the maximum allowable size of individual stands. The increased stand size has proved popular with many existing exhibitors now opting to take much greater stand areas that were possible heretofore. FTMTA have increased the stand size to accommodate the increasing size of modern farm machinery and also the much wider product ranges than many exhibitors now need to showcase. The larger stand size and increased overall indoor area will deliver an even better Show experience for both exhibitors and visitors and will underpin the status of the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show as the flagship event for the Irish farm machinery industry.

A new departure at the 2019 Show will be the Working Wonders competition which aims to attract entries from the public of tractors that are in routine use in their farming or contracting business. Entries will be tractors registered since 2000 and not newer than 2009 or with at least 10,000 hours. All tractors must be registered, taxed and insured and owned by farmers or contractors. A short list will be generated from online voting with the finalists to be displayed at the Show and the winner to be voted for by visitors to the Show. The winning entry will receive a very substantial prize to be used in the upkeep of the tractor and details of this prize will be announced soon.

At the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, the customer has the unique opportunity to meet product experts from the various manufacturers. Unlike some other events, all exhibitors listed as exhibiting at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show are individual exhibitors with no subletting of stands, duplication of exhibits or second hand machinery permitted. The Show has maintained its focus through the years as a farm machinery show attended by genuine machinery buyers and that, in turn, attracts high quality exhibitors who wish to showcase their products and services to this audience. This is a high calibre, professional event, where you can view a variety of competing machines and talk with product experts that you will find at no other Irish event in 2019.

At the 2017 FTMTA Farm Machinery Show a total of nearly 170 individual exhibitors exhibited across some 14,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space in four pavilions. The exhibition area included over 210 distinct exhibits including shell stand, open stands and outdoor display areas. The 2019 event will be even larger with a substantial expansion of one of the marquee pavilions.

Online tickets for the Show will soon be available from a link at the FTMTA website homepage at ww.ftmta.ie and are sure to be a welcome Christmas gift for the machinery enthusiast.
